Every teacher should be true to himself. Every teacher should be true to his pupils. First, in preparation of lessons: No teacher should attempt to teach that which he does not believe. It is unfair to himself, unfair to those whom he is teaching, unfair to his church, unfair to his fellow men.

The first step in preparation is self-introspection. Whatever the lesson is, the first duty is to look within and see whether you believe what you are going to teach….He should not teach if he does not believe. If he does so, he is untrue to himself and to the church he is representing.
